Watch: Culture Wars Catch Feelings in “Bones”

“I feel it in my bones” sings Culture Wars frontman Alex Dugan on “Bones,” a single about innately knowing something deep down.

The anthemic electronic/rock track is paired with an equally fervent music video that’s part ‘Blade Runner’ meets the Wild Wild West. Shot at Hawthorne Plaza in Los Angeles, and directed by Phillip Lopez (Kygo, Cold War Kids, Pussy Riot), the video opens with Dugan surveying a Wanted poster, followed by navigating the abandoned structure. Armed with an astronaut helmet and flashlight, the singer finds himself in a bowling alley, where he encounters a dancing woman in a gold dress, before they both suddenly realize they’re not alone. You’ll have to watch the video to find out how it ends.

“Bones” leaves a lasting impression as Culture Wars exhibit their tour-de-force of talent from vocals, to songwriting, to creative vision. This song serves as the perfect anthem for sticking to your guns, no matter the stakes.
