travel

It’s May of 2021 and shows are closer to returning than ever! Tour announcements are  once again crossing our timelines and it’s getting us all excited to get back into some of our favorite venues to see some of our favorite artists. We talked to some of those artists and collected a list of some of their favorite venues up and down the east coast.

Bowery Ballroom, New York, NY

The Bowery Ballroom has grown to be a staple of the New York music scene. Opening in 1998, The Bowery has hosted everybody from unique up and comers getting a taste of New York to some of the titans of the 2000’s such as The Strokes and Radiohead.

Union Transfer, Philadelphia, PA

Philadelphia has always hosted a prideful local scene and Union Transfer has been at the center of all of that. Hosting shows in a building constructed in 1889, Union Transfer is one of the most unique places to see a show in Philly. “Our favorite venue is Union Transfer. It is a great venue that hosts bands of all sizes. The sound is phenomenal and there’s no bad views.” –  Tigers Jaw

Monty Hall, Jersey City, NJ

Monty Hall is a modest spot for touring bands when they make their way through New Jersey. A surefire favorite amongst locals and newcomers alike, Monty Hall is a uniquely intimate space that has hosted some fantastic acts throughout the years. The Broadberry, Richmond, VA

The Broadberry has just started booking events later into 2021 and, for Richmond natives, that’s some of the best news they’ve heard all year. Opening in just 2014, The Broadberry has already made a name for itself amongst touring bands as a great east coast stop. Hosting an even blend of local and touring bands, The Broadberry is one of Richmond’s best.
