Parque Barigui – Curtiba, Brazil

Located right in the heart of Curtiba, the name of this historic park translates to “river of prickly fruit” in reference to the abundance of pinecones in the Araucaria trees. Parque Barigui houses several migratory animals among its forests, including egrets, certain types of sparrows, opossum, and more. If you frequent the park as much as Winter, you might catch a glimpse of the area’s famous alligator, usually found sunbathing by the lake!

Council Crest Park – Portland, OR

If you’re looking to catch some serious air this Earth Day, Council Crest Park is the place for you! The park, at 1,073 feet above sea level, is thought to be the highest point in Oregon, and houses quite the display of the picturesque state landscape. Parc Historique de la Canne à Sucre – Port-au-Prince, Haiti

This historic site was once a working sugar cane plantation, but it has since been transformed into an open-air museum.
