The Damned 40th Anniversary Tour Returns to Asbury Park, NJ

This past Saturday night, we were treated to the return of the return of The Damned. The band canceled several tour dates following Captain Sensible‘s injury while performing in Toronto. Fans wished him well and a speedy recovery. We like to think the good vibes paid off.

At the band’s first show back, Captain Sensible walked onto the stage and promptly seated himself on his brand new throne, a toilet fashioned by his bandmates and crew. He was in great spirits, greeting us “bastards” and pummeling through an hour and a half of music, plus two encores. The venue was sold out and everyone had a blast. For those cities whose shows were canceled, fret not, the band has rescheduled tour dates.

Catch them if you can at the tour dates below and stay tuned for new music – they’re recording an album this summer on the label Search and Destroy.
