Brotherly duo Ross and Rocky Lynch, known as The Driver Era, say goodbye to their debut album X and embark onto their new era with two new singles.
Although the band find themselves navigating uncertain waters in the midst of the COVID crisis, they’ve valiantly moved forward by releasing new music with fans pleading for more. And what better way to celebrate the 2 year anniversary of your band than celebrating it with new music? The Driver Era drop two new singles “flashdrive” and “OMG Plz Don’t Come Around” following last year’s debut album X.
A clear departure from their debut, both songs show a side of the guys fans haven’t seen yet. “flashdrive” tells the tale of longing love through processed drum beats while “OMG Plz Don’t Come Around” touches on the terrible realities of relationships gone sour with a livelier backtrack. Who doesn’t love a good live drum and tambourine! Though the songs stand on opposite sides of the TDE spectrum, the guys manage to keep what makes The Driver Era…The Driver Era. Absolutely easy, smooth, and cool.

Though we had hoped, unfortunately these songs serve no indication of what their sophomore album is going to sound like. No worries, we like surprises! We can only imagine how they’ll be able to top their debut but until then, we have these vibey new tunes to hold us over until they do so.
Along with the release of their new songs, The Driver Era will also be doing an acoustic set over on Billboard’s Facebook page TODAY, April 2nd at 12PM PST / 3PM EST. The live stream will be fundraising for Direct Relief so head on over and donate if you can!
