What We're Into
The COLLiDE team consumes all things culture at a high velocity. Each week we’ll be sharing What We’re Into from music, books, film, and travel destinations to bars, restaurants, products and more. Scroll down to discover what we’re into this week, and get in on what’s good.

Alan Miller – Founder and “Portland Pickles #1 fan”
recommends: Tank and the Bangas
“Best show I saw at SXSW.”

Gigie Hall – Editorial Director and “resident outdoor dirtbag”
recommends: Wild Wild Country

“Damn this docuseries is good. It has all of my favorite ingredients: cults, cowboys and really good music supervision. But this is not True Detective come to life. It’s a lot more complicated than that. As any good documentary will do, it forces us to question the inner workings of our own biases, making it hard as hell to pick a side. It’s a messy, complex microcosm that cuts to the heart of what makes America so special and yet so divided. The meat of it though, is that there’s a lot of rather insane and powerful women running a guru’s empire — pretty much how the world works, isn’t it?”

Molly Kodros – Project Manager and “resident bowler and karaoke extraordinaire”
recommends: The Dodgers

“The boys in blue are back – Opening Day is this Thursday!! GO DODGERS!!!”

Tori Adams – Editorial Intern and “The Human Shazam”
recommends: “Lost in Japan” by Shawn Mendes

“I’m not usually a huge Shawn Mendes fan, but his latest single, “Lost in Japan,” is absolutely groovy. I mean seriously, the bass line sounds like it’s from an uncut Earth Wind & Fire track. As if that isn’t enough, Mendes adds some of his signature soul to the melody. It is catchy, cool and charming without trying too hard. If this is the direction pop music is headed, I can certainly get on board!”

Maria ‘On Tour’ Sauer – VP, Biz Dev
recommends: Atlanta’ and ‘Trust’

“I’m in a Getty family black hole.  Check out the show ‘Trust’ on FX.”

“One more FX call out: ATL IS BACK!”

Wes Martin – Marketing and “is not watching Pawn Stars right now, he promises”
recommends: BOSS – Steel Box Single

“I know nothing about this band. I don’t know where they’re from…I think France? Naw, there’s no way. Whatever they are, this is the freaking best. You know, music with a some TUDE. Rude dudes with mean tudes, that’s what I’m into this week.

JK, it’s Jonah Falco from Fucked Up’s new project, I guess.”
