REVIEW: Nightly share emotive, contemplative single ‘not like you’

Nightly return to the scene with a captivating yet reflective track that traverses the fear of the unknown. Hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, the alt-pop three-piece place honesty and fidelity at the forefront of their creative process.

Today, the trio share “not like you” — an infectious single to counteract the mid-summer blues. This danceable track is both contemplative and raw with a catchy chorus and pulsing tempo. The tune starts strong with digital layered synths and an emotive lyrical concept. Capeci looks back on lost love and wrestles with the reality that the lovers no longer understand each other as they once did.

Cousins Jonathan Capeci and Joey Beretta joined forces with and drummer Nick Sainato. The three have consistently put out music since their 2016 debut EP Honest which features their most popular single “XO.” Since then, the band has grown musically and have experimented with a myriad of production elements.

“not like you” prove possesses contemporary flair and a uniquely modern sound. The band plans to release more music this year and will continue to let their authenticity and intimate allure guide them.
