Get excited Riot Grrrls, feminist punk has a new face in the form of The Regrettes and their charismatic 17-year-old front-woman Lydia Night.
This LA-based crew have been making waves in the local rock scene with their energetic live performances and the release of their debut album Feel Your Feelings Fool! in 2017. Channeling classic doo-wop through a catchy garage-punk filter, their sound brings a level of impassioned aggression to tried-and-true pop structures, creating a compelling product with significant crossover appeal. The Regrettes are back on the scene with a new EP Attention Seeker ahead of their scheduled tour of the summer festival circuit including Coachella in April and Bonnaroo in June. Attention Seeker offers up two new pop-punky feminist anthems, two acoustic renditions of tracks from their debut, and a fantastic cover of “Teenager in Love,” the 1959 classic hit by Dion and the Belmonts. Give Attention Seeker a spin and check it out for yourself!
Keeping with their Riot Grrrl tactics video for “Come Through”, the lead track off of Attention Seeker, was created by an all-female crew led by director Claire Marie. Rad.
