The brand new single, “Bad Connection,” is the first track off of New Myths’ upcoming EP, All The Shiny Things, which will be released very soon.
New Myths are a New York power trio with an alt rock/synth-punk/pop sensibility! The band is made up of Brit Boras (guitar/lead vocals), Rosie Slater (drums/vocals), and Marina Ross (bass/vocals). The trio writes what they love, combining elements from bands such as Garbage, Elastica, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and The Pretenders.
In 2012, the band released their self-titled EP. The first single, “False Gold” was immediately featured by Lou Reed on his XM radio show and used in several ad campaigns for companies such as Gucci and Reef Surfwear. Through their own record label, the power trio released their debut LP, “Give Me Noise,” in 2014. Aside from releasing new wave synth pop bops, the band has toured with the likes of Cindy Wilson (of The B-52’s) The Joy Formidable as well as playing their fair share of SXSW showcases in recent years!

“Bad Connection” is the lead single of the their upcoming EP release, All The Shiny Things, which we cannot be moree stoked about! The song had us yearning for the years of our teenage youth when easy times felt hard and “no one understood us!” While we can go hours raving about how angsty yet empowered the song makes us feel, the ultimate opinion lies on the ears of the listener. So please, relish in your new favorite band and listen to “Bad Connection” down below and let us know what you think!
