Chicago based dream-pop artist Claude dropped her highly anticipated single, ‘Turn’.
Reminiscent of Weyes Blood and Slow Pulp, while drawing inspiration from the likes of Joni Mitchell and Angel Olsen, Claude has developed a sound which has been receiving praise from critics and fans across the globe.
New single ‘Turn’ showcases Claude’s signature sound of haunting, ethereal vocals, captivating soundscapes and resonating guitars, creating an almost hypnotic feeling. The single follows the release of her debut EP Enactor, which was applauded by local press and garnered close to 20,000 streams on Spotify and over a quarter million streams on YouTube.
Claude, aka Claudia Ferme, found solace in songwriting during her time at college, where she would write songs as a form of coping with the apprehension of graduating and moving back home. Claude’s music is an example of how every cloud has a silver-lining and despite her experience of struggling from anxiety and discomfort, she was able to conjure up a sound which takes you to a place of wonder and imagination.
Listen to ‘Turn’ now and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for an upcoming album in the near future.
