Anna Shoemaker’s “Feels Like” is transformed from a ukulele-infused, indie pop ballad into a light-EDM track worthy of dancing to in the club (post-COVID) by Andrew Katz of 1 Trait Danger.
Though Katz is best known for his involvement in alt-rock band Car Seat Headrest, his satirical, electronic side project 1 Trait Danger proves the successful tackling of other genres.
Anna Shoemaker’s vocal prowess continues to stand out as she sings about catching feels and her honest reactions that come with that. The remix comes after the song’s original November 2020 release.
“Andrew [Katz] and I had been sending music back and forth and when he sent me this remix I was really excited about it,” Shoemaker said. “I think it’s cool because it’s obviously very different from the type of music both of us make. It’s just something different for people to dance and be happy to.”
