November Residency Alert: LAPD at The Bootleg
show preview

COLLiDE is proud to present LA-based pop-psych troubadour Los Angeles Police Department (AKA Ryan Pollie), who has taken up a residency at the Bootleg Theater for the month of November.

Pollie recently released his second eponymous album under the LAPD moniker (that’s right, both albums are titled LAPD, try to keep up) in April of this year.  The new album is a big leap forward for Pollie, both in terms of the development of his songwriting chops, as well as his more nuanced approach to the album’s production.  And yet, it seems many things have stayed constant since the debut album’s release in 2014: the whimsical, almost childlike visual aesthetic, the introspective bedroom ballad vibe of the songs, and of course, the cold, even violent, nature of the band/album names that seem eternally at odds with Pollie’s gentle musicianship.

Tonight is the first performance of Ryan Pollie’s month long residency and we couldn’t be more excited to be bringing the sounds of LAPD to the city he draws so much inspiration from.  The stellar lineup is filled out by Shannon Lay, Dante Elephante, 93 Bulls, and DJ Chris Cohen, so you know it’s going to be a rad time.  The event is totally FREE so we hope to see you guys there!

Where: Bootleg Theater – Bar Stage – 2220 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles CA 90057
When: Monday November 6, 2017
Time: Doors open at 8:30 P.M.
