Mt. Joy Share Stopmotion Video For “Cardinal”

Philadelphia folk-rockers Mt. Joy have released their lovely stop motion papercut music video for their latest single “Cardinal.” The melodic, uplifting track feels as soothing as the soft glow of golden hour, which is fitting since “Cardinal” is a song about taking pause to notice what surrounds us.

Frontman Matt Quinn (vocals, guitar) sings about “keeping on keeping on” and enjoying life’s simple moments, be it impromptu dance parties with close friends, making snow angels, or simply embracing being yourself. “Everything’s exactly where it needs to be,” sings Quinn, as the earth circles round and around.

Mt. Joy is currently on their debut North American headlining tour through October (which featured stops at Newport Folk Festival and Lollapalooza). See full tour schedule below.
