Pump House in Byrd Park
landmark

“We like to imagine what it could be like now as a community space, right next to the river and canal.”  —  Lean Year

Located in Byrd Park, Pump House stands as a Victorian Gothic treasure. West of the Boulevard Bridge and the Kanahwha Canal, it was designed and constructed in the 1880s under the leadership of the great Richmond city engineer Col. Wilfred Emory Cutshaw.
