Rock and roll may not have been born in New York City, but one could say that it was perfected there – let’s say around 1977.
Year after year, new bands pop up to help remind us of this fact, and NYC’s on Baby Shakes are one of the brightest examples. Wearing their influences proudly – The Ramones, Motown, Slade (yo Spotify, where’s my Slade??) – Mary, Judy, Claudia, and Ryan craft perfect punk tunes that aren’t afraid to show a bit of pop savvy.
As part of an ongoing series at Baby’s All Right, Dr. Martens has been bringing together an amazing collection of some of New York’s best bands, and Baby Shakes are next up! Cruise by on March 4th to catch them live, along with a pair of the city’s hardest working bands – Big Bliss and Monograms.
