LISTEN: KiNG MALA unveils heart-wrenching new single “If I Try To Find You”
music

Originally from El Paso, the now Los Angeles based artist KiNG MALA drops her latest single “If I Try To Find You.”

Through smoky vocals, seductive melodies and slow, steady beats, the song builds into an explosive track, dripping with attitude. The poignant anthem is the epitome of everything KiNG MALA represents – a powerful, strong and determined woman who knows exactly who she is and what she wants.

That’s precisely what “If I Try To Find You” is about —realizing that someone has been taking advantage of you and not standing for it. In this particular case KiNG MALA, a.k.a Areli Castro, speaks of her own personal experiences, opening up about an unhealthy relationship she was in.

Castro shares, “This song is a super personal one for me. I was thinking about a relationship I had when I was 16/17 with someone much older than me and wondering how that person is and where they might be now.”

Produced by Rob Auerbach and mastered by John Greenham (Sam Smith, Katy Perry, Banks), “If I Try To Find You” emits a similar sound of moody alt/pop, reminiscent of Billie Eilish and Bishop Briggs.

The new track is the second song to be released off of KiNG MALA’s upcoming EP, slated for release later this year. Listen to “If I Try To Find You” below:
