Born and raised in Hawaii, Crimson Apple is composed of four sisters that make one talented family: Colby Benson on lead vocals and keyboards, Shelby Benson on guitar and vocals, Carthi Benson on bass and vocals; and Faith Benson on drums.
Since the 2012 establishment of the band, they’ve moved to LA (2015) and pursued a successful career grounded in music derived from emotion and experience. The genre bending group is influenced by a wide variety of artists, and has shared the stage with the likes of Switchfoot and One Republic among many other prolific acts.
Following their 2015 debut album Hello, they’ve received multiple nominations for the Na Hoku Hanohano Awards, Hawaii’s equivalent of the Grammy Awards, and have continued to thrive through charm, outstanding musicianship, and a dedicated fanbase.
