How danny G’s new EP rollout is giving back to the music community

No matter the genre or size of their reach, artists across the music community have come together to help one another during the COVID crisis. danny G has joined the cause with the drop of his new song “best friend”.

Nashville based hip hop/pop artist danny G has seen enough tragedy in the past months. From the tornado that devastated Music City, U.S.A to the impact COVID-19 has taken on the world as a whole, its hard to see a light at the end of a very long tunnel. While may find it hard to pick themselves during times like these, danny G has chosen a different path. Using his time in isolation, the Tennessee artist has put together an inspiring new project appropriately titled Quarantine Tapes.

He began the project by dropping the first single off the EP, “came through“, a fun-loving, lighthearted, and youthful song about chasing girls and experiencing life. Today we found ourselves bopping along to the second single off Quarantine Tapes, “best friend“. The track is another clear indication of Chance the Rapper’s incredible influence on danny featuring a familiar flow and playful take on lyrics.

The EP will continue to roll-out through the month of May with an Instagram live stream every Monday at 8pm EST followed by a single release every Thursday. The EP in its entirety will be released May 28th.

danny G’s brand new release “best friend” is officially out now. All revenue from the proceeds of this project will be donated to MusiCares COVID-19 relief fund. Along with streaming this project, we encourage you to donate to help musicians, creators, and professionals who are currently without work and are facing an uncertain future.
