You never know who is going to make a comeback these days, which is why we here at Culture Collide were extremely pumped when we heard Katy Rose has a new single and video out.
Katy first won our hearts back in the early 2000s with her iconic girl power anthem “Overdrive.” You remember it don’t you? It’s that song from the Mean Girls soundtrack where she brazenly proclaims “I’m cherry cola.” The music world hasn’t heard much from Rose since the phenomenal success of “Overdrive,” but that’s all about to change. Katy has been working hard on a new EP, and she just released a stirring new video for the lead single “Bleed” to showcase her new sound. Soulful and emotionally baring, “Bleed” is a brutally honest exploration of the mistakes lovers make in pursuit of those fleeting moments of intimacy. We caught up with Katy and got her to share some stories and pictures from her holiday vacation in Paris. Check out the video for “Bleed” down below!
“I’ve included some views from my apartment, my sister visiting me from Amsterdam, shopping for xmas gifts at a funky French flea market in Paris, my dad visiting when he played Paris recently on the Elton John World Tour, and some photos around town with my boyfriend (who I live with).”
