Hailing from the North West of England, singer/songwriter Francesca Louise casts a spell over listeners with her deliciously mellow folk-pop music. Combining her love for old-time greats such as Joni Mitchell and Carole King, Louise weaves a similar thread of soulful melancholy throughout her compositions, while simultaneously delivering a healthy serving of youthful charisma.

“Ride The Waters” perfectly captures Louise’s charming lyricism and graceful guitar arrangements, creating an alluring release that we just can’t get enough of. The song narrates not being reliant on others and finding your inner-strength to conquer life’s hurdles alone. An empowering message, Louise explains, “So many young girls feel that they need someone beside them to be able to progress and find success in their lives, but this song suggests the opposite. It is an encouraging anthem for independent and powerful young women.”

Despite it’s important theme, “Ride The Waters” emits a much brighter and light-hearted feeling, through buoyant percussion, embellished guitars and soaring harmonies. Building into an anthemic chorus, you’re left determined and ready to win.

“Ride The Waters” follows Louise’s previous single “Out of Sight (Out of Might). Both tracks are off of the upcoming EP Melancholic Antidote, due in July.
