We’ve all been in a situation where we might have spoken out of turn, raised our voices, or said something we probably shouldn’t have. Nashville based singer-songwriter Emily Hackett is back with brutally honest new track, “Handle” that speaks to the self reflection that comes after that.
“Handle” is your new go-to humbling anthem. Sometimes you just have to check yourself. Trust us, we’ve been there before and we feel this track wholeheartedly. The Americana/folk-pop singer comes to terms knowing when to take fault, and chooses to grow and learn from the situation.
The song was inspired by an argument her and her husband had one night where she admits she lost her cool. His reaction was no reaction at all which was the best way to diffuse the situation. It was then that Hackett realized she had an apology to make. She refers to “Handle” as the best apology she has ever made.
You can listen to “Handle” available now via all streaming services. Check it out below and let us know what you think!
