As the former site of Olinger Mortuary, macabre eatery and bar Linger, holds first place for its impeccable design, beautiful views of the city and deliciously crafted small plates from around the world. Denver band Edison met us at the bar to share what they eat and drink at their favorite restaurant.
“When we’re in town we love to come to Linger. It has a great view of the city. You can come here for food if you’re hungry for Devils on Horseback, it is the best thing on the menu. It consists of dates filled with goat cheese, a secret seasoning and wrapped in applewood smoked bacon. It melts in your mouth and they call it a ‘shareable’ but I’m not quite sure you’re going to want to share once you have it because it’s delicious. If you like to take someone out to eat with a story, this place used to be a mortuary. It might sound really creepy but it’s actually very cool when you’re in there. It has a different kind of energy. And then the menus are in the shape of toe tags, which I think is pretty rad.” — Edison
