Indiana-based soul band Durand Jones & The Indications’ stir up the fire within that makes you want to move your feet, and adds a little spring to your step.
The five-piece played a wave of shows in Austin during SXSW, as they celebrated the release of their acclaimed self-titled debut album, which earned praise from NPR and Rolling Stone.
Louisiana native and frontman, Durand Jones found his calling when his grandmother gifted him an alto saxophone as a child, which he played all the way through a BA in music education from South Eastern Louisiana University and Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University.
Among the shows they played at SXSW were COLLiDE at Banger’s, Rachael Ray’s Feedback House, SX San Jose, C3 showcase, Secretly showcase and many more. Check out their tour diary below.
