Originally from Colorado, Rodes Rollins combines her love of the west and its vast landscapes with the grit and power of her current home in NYC. Following her striking debut EP Young Adult, Rodes Rollins is back and bolder than ever with her newest track “Nasty Woman,” a visual and sonic punch to the patriarchy. For her latest release, Rollins teamed up with producer Alex Goose (Weezer, Kevin Gates) and drummer Kane Ritchotte of Portugal, the Man. The result is an uncompromising feminist anthem that adds a fierce edge to her Americana roots. “’Nasty Woman’ is a song centered on the themes of female empowerment and pride,” Rodes says. “Songwriting has always been a tool for me to tell stories – some fictional, and some very personal and real.”
