Founded by Elliott Frazier, who relocated to Austin from Beaumont, Texas, Ringo Deathstarr caught the attention of UK label AC30 in 2010 when they performed at the Reverence festival. The shoegazers released their latest album Pure Mood in 2015. To the band, Austin sounds and smells like “cicadas in the summertime and that specific scent just after it rains.”
