Standing out in the sea of Athens-based indie rock bands, Mothers use experimental sonic detours in their interesting take on the popular style. Their 2016 album When You Walk a Long Distance You Are Tired, out on Grand Jury Records, took a more conventional direction, but they still think outside the box when approaching instrumentation and and melody enough to remain noticeably ahead of the curve.
