Disappears has been in the windy city’s Krautrock/shoegaze circuit since 2008. In 2014 they recorded a live cover of David Bowie’s Low to celebrate the launch of the “David Bowie Is” exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. In the past they’ve recorded with Sonic Youth’s Steve Shelley (who was the band’s drummer for a stint), and have shared stages with Tortoise and The Jesus Lizard.
