Chicago-based DEHD channel the mournful British dream-pop of yore. The band’s music is rooted in simplicity; the sparse sound creates a distinctive, airy atmosphere. Strong rhythms keep each song moving, while echoing guitars and vocals evoke an free and open landscape. DEHD may take inspiration from across the pond, but they love their Chicago hometown. About the Chicago scene, the band says,

“Every friend in the music world, comedy world, art world, [and] acting world – we all support each other and encourage each other to succeed. Whether it be in the basement zone or beyond. Everyone has a place, everyone gets invited in.”

Invite yourself in by listening to DEHD’s song “Thousand Times” below and  by checking out their Chicago picks in our travel guide.
