This park offers amazing views of Mission Bay, the Pacific Ocean and the city below. The 79-acre park is perched high atop Lamont Street at Soledad Road and is named after noted local horticulturalist and “Mother of Balboa Park,” Kate Sessions. The park is divided into two section: a low sloping area ideal for picnicking and activities. The north side features wild habitat with coastal sage scrub and numerous hiking trails for nature loves.
