Originally from San Antonio, Austin-based Chicano artist Alejandro Escovedo was formerly a member of the ‘70s San Francisco punk band The Nuns, and has familial ties to Santana drummer Pete Escovedo and daughter Sheila E. Escovedo has collaborated with numerous celebrated artists over his four-decade-long career, including acclaimed producer Tony Visconti (David Bowie, T. Rex).
