Ajani Jones
Born and bred on the Southside of Chicago, Ajani Jones studied psychology at the University of Iowa before returning to Chicago to pursue a career in music. Jones raps with an intricate lyricism not always found in modern hip-hop. His wordplay is the driving force behind each track, with the instrumentals complementing his mic skills rather than overwhelming them. The youthful MC also raps with substance. His words are meaningful without sounding preachy or out of touch. For Jones, musical entertainment comes naturally through the stimulation of listener’s thoughts.
