LOOK: The Heavy Announce New Album, The Glorious Dead

English soul-rockers The Heavy have announced the release of their third full-length LP, The Glorious Dead. The album was self-produced and will be out on August 21 via Counter Records/Ninja Tune.

The Heavy is known for mixing various genre styles to create a style completely their own. For inspiration for The Glorious Dead, The Heavy travelled across the pond to Georgia to learn from church-trained musicians and gospel singers. This influence is certainly apparent in the album's soulful first single, "What Makes A Good Man?" This song is available for streaming over at Rolling Stone.

The Heavy will also be coming to the U.S this June for several tour dates, and will be back this September for Seattle's Bumbershoot Festival. Check out the tour dates below.
